Nathan Judd is a postdoctoral researcher with a wide range of interests both inside and outside academia. When he’s not working on mathematics, you’ll often find him exploring a variety of athletic disciplines. He trains in several martial arts — including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and MMA — and enjoys the technical challenge, discipline, and physical conditioning they demand. Nathan also has a long-standing commitment to strength training, with experience in weightlifting and bodybuilding, and he’s an enthusiastic table-tennis player who appreciates the speed and precision of the game.

Beyond sport, Nathan has a strong curiosity for art, history, and geopolitics. He enjoys understanding how cultures develop, how global events shape societies, and how ideas move through time. These interests complement his academic life, giving him a broad perspective and a creative approach to problem-solving.

Altogether, Nathan brings energy, discipline, and intellectual range to everything he does — inside the research world and beyond.
